Travel Throwback to the Vatican City

For my study-abroad course’s last day in Rome, we toured the Vatican City!  We even got to see the wonderful Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina.  Exciting fact: he’s also the first pope from the Americas.  We went inside and toured St. Peter’s Basilica (San Pietro in Vaticano).  We went all the way to the top, and then came out into the square to see the Pope.
Here is a history of the enclave if you want way more information.  The details in the architecture is amazingly overwhelming, and I simply cannot do it any real justice.1DSC_0018DSC_0037DSC_0039DSC_0046DSC_004023DSC_0112DSC_0133DSC_0138DSC_0141DSC_0143
