Travel Throwback: O’ahu, Hawai’i

Doing a throwback to my three week college class in O’ahu, Hawai’i in January 2016! I studied the cultural anthropology of Hawai’i with a professor who was from Palestine, so he took the time to compare and contrast continental American culture with past & modern Hawaiian culture and with middle Eastern culture! During my three weeks, my class of eighteen would spend an hour in the professor’s hotel room for a lecture, then we would go out on the island of Oahu to a museum or historical site for on-site learning until noon or 1 PM. This was our routine Monday through Friday, and then we had the rest of the afternoon and most evenings to ourselves. The evenings we didn’t have to ourselves were because we had a class dinner scheduled, which simply meant prepaid dinner!

I’m posting this particular throwback because I am actually in Hawaii right now! My boyfriend is a groomsman in a friends wedding, and we are spending the week here. This was really fun to go through all my old photos, so I hope you enjoy them too!
